Rebates & Costs

There are a number of payment options available when undertaking a Pro Fit Lifestyle exercise program, including:

  1. Medicare rebates
  2. Private Health Insurance

  3. Private patients

Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program
The EPC program is for patients with a diagnosed chronic condition. Eligible patients may claim up to five (5) subsidised Exercise Physiology sessions per year under Medicare.
To be eligible for the program, an EPC referral form must be completed by your GP.

Type 2 Diabetes Group Program

Subsidised by Medicare, the Type 2 Diabetes Group Program is for patients who have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.
To be eligible for the program, a Type 2 Diabetes Group Program referral form must be completed by your GP.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) Program

Exercise Physiology services are covered under the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) for DVA patients who have either a Gold or White Repatriation Health Card.
To be eligible for the program, you must obtain a referral from a Local Medical Officer (LMO), your GP, a Medical Specialist or a Hospital Discharge Planner.

Private Health Insurance

Many private health insurers allow you to claim a certain amount each year for Exercise Physiology services. Please contact your health fund for further details.

Private Patients
Pro Fit Lifestyle offers Exercise Physiology services for private patients, with our fees complying with Medicare Guidelines. Please contact us for further information.
